At the initiative of the POLISH MEAT Association, 6 June was established as World Meat Day. The idea gained international support, and the declaration establishing the celebration was signed by 13 industry organisations from Poland and abroad.
Why did we launch this initiative?
The Association wanted to build a strong coalition that brings together different competences and perspectives to jointly develop the best solutions for the future of the industry. Every new organisation joining World Meat Day strengthens the voice of the entire sector and contributes to its further development in Poland, Europe and worldwide. The shared goal of the coalition gathered around this important industry celebration is to spread knowledge about the importance of meat for the Polish economy and for each of us. Every year, to mark this special day, the POLISH MEAT Association organises a Congress that is an important meeting point for the meat industry and an opportunity to discuss the condition and challenges of the sector.
POLISH MEAT Association is the largest industry organisation in Poland, representing the economic interests of companies from the meat sector.
The Association actively supports initiatives of all its members, promotes business ethics and contributes to economic development.
For more than 30 years, POLISH MEAT has promoted meat in Poland and internationally while taking care of the image of the entire industry.
